Most rod bolt covers just help to prevent nicked crankshafts when installing rods onto the crank, but our tool can also be used during disassembly. Remove the rod cap and install our Universal Rod Guide Tool over the bolts. Then, use the palm of your hand to drive out the piston and rod assembly. Another unique feature is the ability of our tool to work with any size rod bolts, or you can use the included adapters for rods with capscrews.
