From street/towing to mild performance, more engine builders are choosing to replace their crankshafts with Engine Works cast cranks. Today's cast crankshafts offer the best compromise between strength and cost. Custom series crankshafts offer features usually only found on high end forged crankshafts. Utilizing super strong 9000 series alloy material, each crankshaft is 4 hole lightened, has knife edged counterweights, .125" journal fillet radius, and has counterweights cut to clear forged pistons. Custom series cranks MUST be balanced to rotating components and MUST be used with chamfered bearings.
